Certified translation for MOM work pass applications, for EP, S Pass, WP and DP.
Any foreign-language document submitted to support an Employment Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, Personalised Employment Pass or Dependant Pass needs a certified English translation for MOM to accept it. We take on the whole supporting set, from the main applicant academic qualifications to the marriage and birth certificates of family travelling with them. And because notaries public sit within our own firm, notarisation is something we can add ourselves where a category or case officer calls for it, with no detour to an outside notary.
What we need
Scans of the supporting documents along with the applicant name spelled exactly as the passport shows it in English. On employer-sponsored filings, give us the sponsoring company name as well so we can point out any company documents that may need translating too.
Documents we handle
Foreign degree and diploma certificates, academic transcripts, a marriage certificate for the Dependant Pass, birth certificates for children coming along, and police clearances from the home country for the higher-skilled passes.
Notarisation in-house if MOM asks
A certified translation stands on its own for most work pass submissions. When a category or case officer wants notarisation, our own notary public attests and notarises it here, keeping the whole bundle on a single timeline.
What you get
Certified English PDFs, stamped and signed on each page. Grading scales and credit hours stay intact on academic records, and certificates hold on to reference numbers and official seals so MOM can check every one against the original.
Frequently asked questions
- Does MOM need work pass documents notarised?
- In most cases, no. A certified translation is taken for Employment Pass, S Pass, Work Permit and Dependant Pass applications. Certain categories or case officers do ask for notarisation, and being a law firm with notaries on staff means we add it ourselves instead of referring you out.
- The applicant has no Singapore passport yet. Which name spelling do you use?
- Stick with the current foreign passport spelling as it is presented to MOM, so the translation tallies with the application. If a different spelling is adopted in Singapore down the line, we can reissue the translation carrying the updated name.
- Can we send recurring bundles for new hires as a company?
- Yes. It is common for employers to route Employment Pass and S Pass bundles to us for fresh hires on a rolling basis. Flag any expected regular volume when you first make contact and we will put a straightforward intake in place so every new hire is dealt with the same way.
MOM filing deadline approaching?
Send us the applicant's documents and flag your target submission date. We will confirm the price, the turnaround, and whether notarisation is needed.
