JCP Law has been named one of Singapore’s Best Law Firms 2027 in the annual ranking published by The Straits Times in collaboration with Statista. It is the second year in a row the firm has been included, following its recognition in the 2026 edition.
How the 2027 list was compiled
The 2027 ranking recognises 100 law firms across 23 fields of law. It is based on an independent online survey that Statista ran from 11 May to 6 July 2026, which drew more than 12,000 recommendations from around 6,000 respondents.
Recommendations came from three groups:
- Lawyers recommending firms other than their own
- In-house counsel in corporate legal departments
- Clients of law firms
Firms could not recommend themselves, and respondents had to verify a work email address before taking part. Firms were then ranked by the number of recommendations they received in each field.
Why two years running matters
A single listing can reflect a good year. Being recommended again, by a fresh round of peers and clients, says more about the consistency of the work.

What this means for clients
The value of a ranking like this lies in where it comes from: it reflects what peers and clients actually say about a firm, not what the firm says about itself.
